Family Addiction Webinars and Education

Clear, practical education for families facing substance use, mental-health concerns, treatment decisions, and escalating conflict—before the next crisis makes the decision for them.

Education built around real family decisions

The Firm’s educational sessions translate intervention strategy, family-systems thinking, and treatment navigation into actions families can use. The goal is not to diagnose a loved one from a screen. It is to help families recognize patterns, ask better questions, and choose a responsible next move.

  • How to know when concern has become a pattern
  • What support looks like—and when it becomes rescue
  • How to prepare for an intervention conversation
  • How to compare treatment options beyond marketing
  • What the family should change during and after treatment

A consistent method, applied with nuance

Darren’s four family principles provide the recurring foundation for this education. Examples are never treated as universal instructions. Each family must translate connection, compassion, boundaries, and influence through its own history, risks, relationships, resources, and capacity for follow-through.

Priority learning tracks

Sessions and future recordings are organized around the questions families bring to us most often.

  • Teen cannabis, high-potency THC, and changes in mood or function
  • Synthetic drugs, counterfeit products, and the limits of routine drug screens
  • Failure to launch, family accommodation, and accountable independence
  • Intervention readiness, treatment refusal, and credible family boundaries
  • Dual-diagnosis concerns and coordinated treatment planning
  • Family recovery, relapse response, monitoring, and continuing care

The Family Crisis Room

A planned weekly call-in program can let Darren Hobbs and Zach Livingston work through the difficult questions families are often afraid to ask publicly. Darren maps the family system and next decision; Zach brings recovery, coaching, and case-management perspective to the practical follow-through.

Early episodes may use clearly disclosed composite or reenacted questions and pre-screened adult volunteers. As the audience grows, real callers may participate only with informed consent, appropriate releases, privacy screening, and clear educational boundaries. The public program will not use The Firm’s urgent paid-consultation line.

  • Three to five complex family questions per episode
  • A clear pattern, decision map, and responsible next step
  • No minors, active emergencies, surprise third parties, or unnecessary identifying details
  • A permanent replay page with transcript, related resources, assessment, and consultation path
  • Short educational clips distributed across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Substack

Prevention begins with connection

Connection is not permissiveness. It means seeking to understand what a behavior is doing for the person while staying truthful about harm, responsibility, and safety. Families can listen with curiosity, communicate directly, set limits they can sustain, and offer a realistic path toward help.

Use the library now

You do not have to wait for a live session to begin. Start with a private educational assessment or one of our decision guides, then bring your questions to a confidential consultation.

Upcoming sessions and recordings

New public sessions and verified recordings will be added here as they are scheduled or released. The Firm does not publish placeholder dates or direct families to unverified channels. For help with a situation happening now, schedule a private consultation or call 877-FIRM-910.

Common questions

Are webinars a substitute for an individual consultation?

No. Education can clarify concepts and questions, but it cannot assess the safety, leverage, clinical needs, or family dynamics of a specific case.

Are these sessions therapy or medical advice?

No. They are educational. Diagnosis, medical care, psychotherapy, legal advice, and emergency response require appropriately qualified professionals.

How will I know when a session is available?

Confirmed public sessions and recordings will be posted on this page. Until then, the resource library and private consultation pathway remain available.
