Private intervention and family addiction consulting
Find the pattern. Map the solution.

What The Firm solves
Complex family problems need more than a referral list.
The Firm is an independent consulting team for families facing addiction, co-occurring mental-health concerns, escalating conflict, treatment refusal, and difficult transitions. We identify the pattern keeping the system stuck, align the people who can influence change, and coordinate an individualized map from first conversation through accountable follow-through.
Intervention
Preparation, family alignment, treatment planning, and decisive execution for substance use, mental health, or high-conflict situations.
Treatment placement
Independent guidance through clinical fit, level of care, location, cost, safety, and the questions families should ask before admission.
Family consulting
Clear limits, healthier communication, co-parent alignment, and practical support that replaces reactivity with influence.
The Darren Hobbs family methodology
Love Them Without Losing Yourself
We cannot control their recovery. We can change the conditions surrounding their addiction.
Connection without control. Compassion without enabling. Boundaries without abandonment. Influence without coercion. These four foundations stay consistent; the way Darren applies them is mapped to the nuance of each unique family.
The family’s next four moves
- Find the pattern: identify what the family is funding, hiding, rescuing, permitting, or repeatedly repairing.
- Align the family: agree on the facts, the help being offered, and the limits everyone can sustain.
- Change the conditions: make recovery easier to choose and addiction harder to comfortably maintain—without taking away the person’s choice.
- Follow through: stay connected, hold the plan calmly, and adjust with guidance instead of returning to crisis-driven reactions.
Built for the cases that do not fit a script.
High-conflict and urgent-need work may require coordination across clinical, medical, travel, and safety disciplines. The Firm assembles the right team for the situation, which may include physicians, clinicians, travel nurses, and appropriately qualified security professionals when genuinely necessary. Scope is determined case by case; emergency response remains the responsibility of 911 and local emergency services.
Consultation and intervention services may be delivered in person or virtually when appropriate. The Firm has served families nationally and worked internationally, including engagements involving Canada, Kenya, Morocco, Greece, the Netherlands, Australia, the United Kingdom, France, Mexico, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and South Africa.
You do not need to wait for rock bottom to make a better plan.
